Before becoming a hypnobirthing instructor, I was working with homeless children in London, already knowing my heart was dedicated to supporting and transforming lives.
Little did I know how profoundly that passion would shape my own journey into motherhood.
In 2014, I became pregnant, dreaming of the most beautiful homebirth possible. But at 24 weeks, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes – a diagnosis that initially shattered my birth vision. Suddenly, I was labelled “high risk”, and my perfect candlelit homebirth seemed to slip away.
But I wasn’t ready to give up.
I refused to be defined by my diagnosis. With two incredible independent midwives and a transformative hypnobirthing course in London, I began to rebuild my confidence. I devoured every piece of information, worked closely with my diabetes team, and prepared meticulously.
